Karen watched Martin Lewis from his TV show in the UK .

Martin Lewis really has inspired many people to take control of their finances & introduced an Energy Calculator — Karen brought this idea to me - So we created an Australian Energy Calculator to the site Try the Energy Calculator

Here's what the calculator covers:

Electricity basics — supply charge (the daily connection fee all Aussies pay regardless of usage), your peak usage rate in c/kWh, and your daily consumption.

Solar feed-in — if you're exporting to the grid, enter your feed-in tariff and daily export volume. The savings show up in green and come off your bill.

Controlled load / off-peak — for things like hot water systems on a separate meter (common in QLD and NSW), you can enter a different rate and usage amount.

The quarterly figure includes GST (10%), which is how your bill will actually appear.

A few things worth knowing for accuracy — check your latest bill for your exact supply charge (varies a lot by retailer and state), your actual c/kWh rate, and your daily kWh from the usage graph most bills include. South Australia tends to have the highest rates in the country, while WA is on a regulated network so prices are more stable.

Hit the buttons at the bottom to compare plans or get saving tips!

Anyway the Karen showed me from his latest program this Energy Calculator which I have converted for the Energy in Australia
